Born
in Athens, Georgia, and raised in Houston, Texas (he got here
as fast as he could), Greg is the eldest of three boys. His
father was a master carpenter and instilled in Greg his love
for carpentry work and home remodeling.
After having worked for Houston Habitat for Humanity for several
years as a lead crew superintendent, Greg realized that his
heartfelt dream of owning his own business was a very tangible
possibility.
So,
he launched out on his own in 2002 and Honey-Do Handyman was
born. His wife, Lynn, prides herself in conceiving the company’s
name. In January 2003, they were officially doing business and
just three months later Greg’s brother-in-law, a litigation
attorney in Houston, drew up their incorporation paperwork and
they became Honey-Do Handyman, L.L.C. in April of that same
year. Greg has over 20 years of experience in the construction
field.
The
company prides itself on meeting the simplest of “honey-do”
needs to much larger endeavors such as remodels and build-outs.
Honey-Do
Handyman, L.L.C. was one of the few reputable companies available
“on the scene” after Hurricane Rita hit the Gulf coast in September
2005. Greg’s company worked tirelessly for about nine months
down in the Port Arthur, Texas area while still maintaining
a full workload here in the Greater Metropolitan Houston area.
Since
its inception, there has not been one day of down-time, other
than that due to inclement weather. They have maintained a full
and consistent workload ever since.
Says
Greg, “I give credit where credit is due and that is to God
who honors His word by giving great success to anything I put
my hands on that is committed to Him. He has granted our company
abundant favor and success.” In all your ways acknowledge Him
and He will establish your path. Proverbs 3:5-6.
“Just
prior to starting my company, I married my beautiful and faithful
wife. They always say behind every successful man is a praying
wife.”
Greg
enjoys playing golfing, softball, and fishing, as well as watching
several sports as a spectator. He enjoys volunteer work and
is involved in various church activities. If you would like
